Damn, when I tried to do a cross reference Tarja/Lyndsay search in google all I get is "Tarja yada yada LINDHSAY LOHAN SEX TAPE LEAKED!!"

It's a useless quest hah-hah!

Yeah, unfortunately, and I fear there are not too many German Tarja fans who are avid readers of celebrity gossip rags, too (or would admit to it, at least). Wink However, I've found out that Tarja and Lindsay are both 1.64 m tall Laughing

Now I wonder: Has Vibeke Stene ever been asked about Tarja? Shocked

I'll try that cross reference later too. Laughing *kidding*

I'm seriously thinking about asking Lindsay on twitter. What do you guys think?

Almagest, it's more like: Has Vibeke Stene been ever interviewed?

She was really away from interviews and media. It's really hard to find an interview with her but I think she wasn't. They've toured together, that's for sure. But I asked if there was a picture of Vibeke and Tarja together and they said no. It's easier to ask Tarja if they ever talked while on tour next time one of us meet her.

There was that article where Tarja and Sharon try to guess some songs and tarja said she likes Tristania. Also, in another article of Tarja, she put Tristania's Mercyside in her playlist.

I was actually thinking about that too. Hey, you can always try, can't hurt Mr. Green

Actually I was going to append that question, as I've never seen an interview with her or even a mention of an interview with her, but then, I haven't really been following her, and since she became more of a front woman later on (or so it seems to me), I assumed that there must be interviews that I simply don't know anything about.

She still is - I mean, she's totally off the radar.

True. Where did you ask about that picture, by the way?

I was thinking about that article, too. I think she mentioned that they had toured together, as well.

Also, I remember that Tarja was played a Lumsk song and she said that even though she normally doesn't like "folklore" (her words), she thought it was really good. Mr. Green

Interesting, thank you.

crucified & almagest: do you have any link to the interviews you mention? i'm just curious! - and bored, so i'd like to have some metal gossip to read Laughing

about vibeke, i remember several interviews in the past. if only i remembered the websites they were from... but anyway they weren't long interviews, if you know what i mean. cold, icy norwegian goddess haha!
when i saw tristania in 2006 at the Evolution festival here in italy she was as distant as she could be, and though i love her i had to admit even then that it seemed she felt like queen Marie Antoinette in the midst of the bourgeousie during French Revolution...

maybe anders was holdin it Wink those who say that you could sense the bad atmosphere in nightwish's last concerts before tarja's departure should have witnessed that. there's a funny italian expression which goes something like this: Vibeke was tightening her ass! to mean that she was APPEARING a bit snob and out of contest. anyway, the concert was great and of course a great experience to finally see them live. /OT

@crucified: thanks a lot!

I've always wondered how Vibeke fangirls of all people can complain about Tarja being a cold, distant, snobbish diva who doesn't even like metal (especially on EoaE, it is totally beyond me how anyone can have such an impression, it simply beats me) ... they appear absolutely oblivious about the stark irony.

well, i've already said somewhere here that i never ever had the impression of tarja being snob and distant; in the many nightwish interviews i read in the past (i never even had the impression she gave so few ones like others stated) every journalist was saying how nice and available she was, laughing all the time, etc. this being said, i must say that i also love the image of the cold artist far away from media, people in general and why not, even fans. it depends on the genre i think: actually that fitted vibeke quite a lot, while, for example, such behaviour would seem arrogant by tobias sammet, to name one.

Tarja: Sounds like Anneke van Giersbergen. It really is her? Must be an old song. Her fantastic voice seems very young in this one. Anneke is one of my favourite female singers. Razz Razz Razz
Once I`v seen the photo of Tarja with Anneke and I cannot find it Sad Can you help me, please? Rolling Eyes

Ϲпосиво, Бетро! Wink

It reminds me of that moment of the End of Innocence dvd in which Anneke says "Good luck Nightwish!" with the toothbrush in hand!

It's no disgrace to like LC. Razz Even if I was never a fan, I don't think their old stuff at least isn't all that bad. At the time it sounded a bit like The Gathering.

Anneke is really cute. Laughing Especially the toothbrush! Mr. Green Here she is really funny, too.

Yeah, and her accent rocks! xD Normally I don't perceive German-coloured English as unusual, I'm just too used to it, but hers is really strong.
